Local coffee sensation, Caffè Artigiano, was renowned for the quality of its brewed coffees and for their meticulous dedication to the art of coffee making. In fact, Artigiano means “artisan” or “craftsman” in Italian. From their re-mineralized water system to their custom-made espresso machines, they stop at nothing to perfect their art. So, buying their beans and having them roasted by a 3rd party roaster, while very good, was never good enough. They would start roasting their own whole beans in a state-of-the art roasting facility, and would launch with 16 custom-roasted flavours.

While not having a mature or cohesive brand identity system, the caffè has an extremely loyal following. And a long history of the food and coffee business in this family-owned business. So the packaging could really start afresh, while maintaining some elements of the identity and caffè interiors. The packaging system celebrates the heritage of Vince, Sammy and Michael Piccolo with photos taken right from the pages of their family photo albums. The images are complemented with amusing anecdotes and stories about the family members; inviting you into their “story”. The flavour system is clear and concise, with tasting notes and a strength guide to help consumers choose between the many variations.
